Manage and enhance sustainability across real estate portfolios

PERFORM assists organizations and portfolios in setting goals, measuring progress against user-defined targets, and obtaining third-party verification from the  (GBCI) to demonstrate improvement and progress. As outlined in the PERFORM Program Guide, PERFORM supports various portfolio-level metrics across emissions, energy, water, waste, health, resilience, biodiversity and social impact. For a detailed list, refer to the PERFORM Performance Metrics.

PERFORM complements USGBC鈥檚 globally recognized LEED green building system. Whereas LEED certifies individual buildings and projects to a consensus-based leadership standard, PERFORM works with entire real estate portfolios to help set goals, manage progress, make improvements over time, and verify achievements.

For all portfolios and building types, regardless of starting point

Recognizing that organizations are at various stages of their sustainability journey, PERFORM, officially known as Arc PERFORM, aims to engage a wide range of building owners, managers, and occupiers, from those starting their sustainability plans to those already implementing advanced sustainability measures.

Organize your strategy and plans
Use portfolio-level planning guidance and partner tools to improve performance and communicate progress.

Set and track your goals
Customize sustainability and resilience goals to match your priorities, and monitor progress in areas such as emissions, social impact, resilience, energy, and water.

Third-party verification
Enhance credibility with limited assurance by GBCI and demonstrate progress in meeting stakeholders' expectations, reporting frameworks, and regulatory disclosures.

Begin by enrolling your organization in 鈥檚 workspace for portfolios. Once enrolled, define your portfolio鈥檚 scope, select the performance metrics that align with your goals, and set targets. Targets can be set based on new goals or on improvements that have been completed and documented.
